Hello World! I'm Rámon van Raaij, I joined Yoast in 2022 as manager of the DevOps & ICT Teams. With over 20 years of experience in the ICT industry and more than 11 years as an entrepreneur, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my role. My responsibilities at Yoast include overseeing our IT infrastructure, automations, and pipelines to ensure smooth and efficient operations that support Yoast business success.
Before joining Yoast, I worked as a Technical Project Manager at VWR / Avantor, a Fortune 500 company, and managed projects worldwide in 26 countries. I also have experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) & Sales Engineer, and as both a Product Owner and Scrum Master. I excel in an agile environment and am skilled in applying Lean methodologies to deliver high-quality results while minimizing waste.
As a pragmatic technology leader, I excel in complex environments and advocate for simple, long-term, stable, and maintainable solution strategies. With a growth mindset and a focus on a people-first culture, I employ a bottom-up approach to managing teams. I value the input of my team members and always make time for their professional criticism and insights.
I possess a keen ability to identify the core of an issue and distinguish main concerns from peripheral ones. Proactive and driven by challenges, I take the initiative to ask questions and gather the right information. My choices and decisions are based on logical reasoning and are informed and thoughtful. I strive to create a support base by explaining the rationale behind my decisions.
